Collections Specialist (Shipping & Logistics) | Dubai, UAE (DMCC)

Job Description:

Our client, a leading international shipping and logistics group operating across Africa, is seeking a Collections Specialist for its office in DMCC, Dubai. This role reports directly to the Credit Controller / Finance Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Follow up overdue invoices and collect customer payments in a timely manner.
• Manage the aging debtors list and ensure customer accounts are strictly kept up to date.
• Resolve client billing queries, rate discrepancies, and invoice disputes in collaboration with operations.
• Prepare weekly and monthly collections and cash allocation reporting for management.
• Maintain professional relationships with key corporate clients while ensuring compliance with credit terms.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Proven experience in collections, credit control, or accounts receivable (minimum 3+ years).
• Confident communicator, firm but professional customer service orientation.
• Degree or diploma in Finance, Business Administration, or relevant field.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP accounting systems and intermediate/advanced Excel.
• Industry experience in shipping, logistics, port operations, or trading is a distinct advantage.
